It's always interesting to me to browse through the marketing sections of the DP forums and see users selling sites with a strong PR 4 or strong PR 5. I'm curious, other than a marketing ploy is there any meat behind claiming strong PR as opposed to the published PR in the toolbar. My guess is that they are trying to make up for their sites short comings.
I have a few strong PR6 sites. Something that is a strong PR site is a site that distributes high pagerank to other internal pages within the site. One of my site has 6 PR6 pages, and that's the whole site. While another site may have a PR6 homepage, but then only PR4 or PR3 subpages. The integer value given to us by Google is only a single number, their internal values go much deeper into decimal places and that's how their search works.
How could you possible know this? Except for its a PR6 and you've gained lots of backlinks and are just waiting for the next pr update, in which case, it's still just a PR6 It be like someone gaining 500 backlinks on a PR0 site and trying to sell it as higher PR
This is what I was thinking...how could you possibly know. And as far as other values having an impact, I understand this. As far as strong PR...I just don't think there is such a thing, basically you just have 6 PR 6 pages...nothing Strong about it.
