The difference between analytics/adsense and your server stats...

Here's a brief history of my Analytics usage:
Previously I used Wordpress plugins as Popularity Contest and Wordpress.com stats. However, due to some problems and additional scripts being loaded by Quantcast, I decided to turn off the WP.com plugin and give Analytics a shot.

I'm not quite sure am I an isolated case, but I'll give an example of differences in numbers:

Google Analytics shows the number of visits and pageviews, and the reports are a bit more elaborate than the stats I get from the script at my host (Awstats). However, the numbers I get in them differ a lot (Awstats shows much more traffic, and I must say that it isolates the traffic from bots and crawlers apart from stats).

On the other hand, even the numbers in Google Analytics and Google Adsense are not the same (Adsense shows even smaller numbers). Atleast those 2 should be the same?

    What is your experience?
