Not just aimming at big names of article directories... somtimes you can find some nicth-related article directories which work much better for you: the audience would be well-targeted and the link from related-websites will give you much more link juice

 

I use Isnare and it's ok, but like others have stated it takes them a long time to post your articles. Everybody talks about Ezine and it is a great way to get high ranking, but I love Article Base. If my keywords are right and placed in my articles correctly, I usually will see my article on the first page of Google fast. I mean I have submitted articles to Article Base and within 30 mins. my article was on the first page.

No BS, if your articles are well written you can get them on the search engines quick with Article Base.

 

Yes, this is quite true, I've seen it my self many times and a lot of time when I do searches I see them on page 1. The only problem is that they are nofollow so you don't get any link juice.

Ezinearticles is great if you are looking for an authority site, but if you can get an account at selfgrowth that is also an excellent site

Submitting articles tomultiple directory doesnt gave me results. I suggest that you submit it to ezinearticles.

Then, save it as a pdf and submit is to docstoc (has adsense revenue share also)

You should submit to as many different article sites as possible.

Out of all the articles directories I have submitted to, these are the only ones that are still retaining my site links, others stick for a while but then seem to drop off.

I submitted articles to these eight months ago and they are still giving me juice.

Be warned though, most of them will not accept crappy articles, and most of them require articles of a minimum length and several do not allow links of any sort in the article body, (use the author bio box in this case to link to your site)

There are hundreds more, and no doubt others will have their favourites, but I expect they will include some of the ones listed here.
