You are starting another discussion here, witch is interesting enough, but lest keep to the point, we am talking about death sentence vs. life sentence here. My question is: Is it more worse to be dead than being in prison the rest of your life ? If you was dead, would that be bad to you ?
When I say life, I mean that you are in prison until you die. I am not talking about the different practice of different countries where life means 20 years.
against death penalty....how are you repaying your debt to the society if you are dead....hard labour for life!
I am all for the death penalty for murderers. Drug dealers, on the other hand, are only committing a a consensual crime. Moreover, they are committing a crime which is only malum juris, not malum per se. As such, I disagree 100% with the death penalty for drug dealers.
How exactly does hard labor for life bring back the 9 year old little girls some of these sick f*cks rape, murder and mutilate? How is that debt ever to be repayed? It's not about rehabilitation, it's about permenantly ending the revolving door that has become the prision system one psycho at a time.
Against the death penalty because i don't have much faith in the court system to think that all those convicted are actually guilty.
Another reason I am for the death penalty is that I believe that execution is far more humane than lifelong imprisonment.
no nothing will ever bring them back, not hard labour or nor death penalty, and nothing will completely repay their debt, but labor for life is a start
I have to disagree. It's not a start. Getting rid of these monsters once and for all is what needs to be done.
an eye for an eye...thats the way I look at it...you get caught stealing, but off your hand. kill someone, your turn.
