Actually I was looking at that pic thinking similar. That's a 1911 style .45... full bore service semi-auto for US troops during most of the 20th century. If it fired in that position the slide recoil would put his nose in the center of his head.

Every year the Palestinians live in poverty, throwing rocks at Jews and crying about their fate. In the same time frame, Israel has become one of the most productive countries in the world.

 

I'm sure the productivity would not be limited to Israel if everyone got the same amount of grants that Israel gets, from the USA taxpayer.

 

I agree with you, it may take long to liberate, and the success you refer to, is to have their home land liberated, which may take years, generations, but there is another bit of success you failed to see, is that they did not stop resisting.

 

It has nothing to do with it. Palestinians are concerned with the destruction of Israel. That's what they spend their time and energy on.

They would be much better off building an economy, a political base and dealing with the rest of the world in a legitimate manner.

But they won't. They'll keep on doing the same thing they've done for 60 years. All so they can get their grandfather's olive trees back.

 

Hate all you like but if you think raising children to fight wars is a good idea you are a fool. They will grow up knowing nothing but war and if there ever were to be peace they would not let it happen because they do not know any other way to live but to fight. That is what you call a vicious cycle. But then again you don't sound like you are for peace Thraxed, just an end to Israel.

 

My friend, I think we've reached the point in this conversation where our cultural differences are quite distinct.

In the USA, trying is not enough. Winning is what matters.

If you're going to fight the Jews, you need to beat them. Otherwise all Palestinians will live in poverty the rest of their lives.

If the tactics of resistance aren't working, try new ones. South Africa didn't change because of terrorism. Why not follow the examples of Martin Luther King and Ghandhi?

Everytime a Palestinian blows up a bus load of Jews it makes the world question their cause that much more.

 

somebody said the same thing earlier, as a Palestinian, I m concerned about liberating my country, and I m sure most Palestinians are the same.

 

I am for ending the occupation and liberating the Palestinian people, if that means the destruction of Israel (it does not have to mean that), then let it be.
