You can now track and manage your parcels effectively with the new D-Trail system. The D-Trail Parcel Tracking and Management application gives parcel delivery companies with an integrated system with which they can optimize their service delivery. Courier companies can also benefit a great deal from the reports and analytic generated by the system. D-Trail is set to enhance the service delivery of parcel delivery companies by helping them save on time and other resources. The system offers you a wide range of functionalities all of which are aimed at improving the overall performance of the firm. The system can be accessed by logging in to the d-trail website. To send a parcel, log in and click on parcels. Select new parcel and enter the details of the sender, recipient as well as the parcel details. Save the details and print the QR Code that will be attached to the parcel for tracking purposes. When the parcel is loaded on to a bike or a delivery van, the rider/driver will check in the system and scan the QR code to display parcel details as well as the location. The QR code should be scanned at the completion of every stage during the transit of the parcel, for instance, loading, offloading, delivery, failed delivery or even when the parcel exchanges hands between drivers along the way. Upon scanning the QR code, the details of the parcel and the location are sent to the system. The system admin then sends SMS/email notifications to the clients about the whereabouts of their parcels. To send a message to a client, go to messaging. Select either email or SMS, add the recipient and message details, and then send the message. To view reports, got to the reports section. Here you will be able to view statistical graphs and charts showing the movement of parcels in and out of the company. The parcel report indicates the percentages of new parcels as well as those sent to clients. In this section of the system, you will also be able to view reports for every rider’s weekly performance, in terms of deliveries made within that time. There is also a graph showing the movement of parcels in subsidiary offices of the parent company as well as the messages sent per office. With these reports, the management of the company can make appropriate decisions to improve the performance of the company as well as its subsidiary branches.
