I won't give $$ amounts but since the update began, we haven't made a single sale from our site so 100% loss for us so far. If we hadn't had such good sales in September, I'd now be worrying about the mortgage! Because we're a new small company, most of our profits each month go into buying equipment and tools etc. We'd just employed someone new when it all started and we have a few back orders to keep busy - after that???
I feel your pain. I'm losing about 70% of my income. Two weeks ago my most active/profitable site lost SERP in a huge way. Last thursday it disappeared completely from Google. If this doesn't turn itself around I am so toast. peace Wolf
Great site . . . Cool Cooper range hood . We're building a house in the middle of the summer and I'll keep you on the list. Good luck on the update. -jay
I've had in increase in all my sites across the board. I really can't believe that people are losing that much rankings/revenue. I have sites in all sorts of niches. I guess the moral is definitely don't depend on the SE's for main source of traffic. There are so many other options for you if you're a e-commerce site other then search engines. Diversification.
Traffic is up on my site and there is no change in sales. I am expecting sales to go up quite abit with the release of my new Huge Deal On SEO/SEM Services page.
I'm seeing slight declines in a couple of customer sites that are less than 2 years old. All of my "old faithfuls" are still producing as normally.
Googles cost - since all this update business, it is roughly a loss of $70.00 per day. Considering the income was around $80.00 per day, that is a siginificant loss to an income that had been increasing every month for the past year.
I wish they would share that data! It will probably be buried in the Quartlerly report so deep that we will never find it.
Well, they are public. So aren't financials publically available? I'm sure revenues for these 2-3 weeks should be findable somehow.
I could have sworn there was some entertaining post over there by Jill whalan that aren't there now. I must have hallucinated them
