    Hi guys,

Given the current, highly active, state of the design contest forum I feel i speak for many of us designers when I say its maybe time for more moderation needed.

This suggestion is based on a few factors:

Firstly, there are too many 'finished contests' hanging about in and about the active competitions. This is frustrating to everyone when it comes to finding a contest which is open for submission. I put forward the suggestion of someone to check the forums and lock threads which are completed.

My second concern is the HUGE reduction in quality of design that is going into the contests. I understand that it is an ideal for amateurs to have a go at designing and i for one support that wholly. The problem is the lack of protocol right now. People using Comic Sans for legal company logos etc.

May I suggest for stickying my own guides on entering and hosting a contest, which you will find has a fair amount of support from fellow members for.

I am confident I speak for many of the people who spend the vast majority of there time on this board, in that particular forum. It would really be appreciated and would hopefully improve the quality of the contests.

I look forward to your reply, and will try to offer my views in the best way possible!

    Alex

Thanks for your suggestions, but we don't get involved in things like design quality (which is subjective), and with a limited moderation team, we do what we can. If something should be closed, use the report post button like folks have to do with any other kind of offer.
