The content theft issue...

I have a couple of questions. First off, I read that it is against the TOS to have non-unique content on your site.... can someone point that out to me? I run a computer site, and I plan on putting up daily news. I was planning on having a similar setup to dig, where it would have the story, and a link to the story, but there would be a copy of the story on my site as well. Is that against the TOS? If so, then isn't Digg violating the TOS? Any help on this issue is greatly appreciated. Thanks

It's against the TOS when you run content that expressly forbids redstribution or reprint of such material.

It is not against TOS to have non-unique content but it will affect your ranking on the search engine

So how is it affecting Digg.com in the search engine? They are ranked very high, and have more non-unique content than anyone. How about the people who blog the stories off Digg? How is their ranking doing?

What has this got to do with Adsense?

Are you wanting to know if your site idea would be allowed to work with Adsense?

If the owner of the orginal content allows you to post it on your website it really shouldnt be a problem.

What I would suggest is to make one page as a test and email it to Adsense support for clarification. Any response you do get from them save the email for any future reference.
