Health care industries are now very much depending upon the electronic billing services. We know that most of the physicians do not get paid immediately for their services, because majority of the patients have enrolled their name under medical insurance coverage. So, very often physician forget to claim to the insurance company for their payment. Patient every time inform to the physician before treatment. So, submitting claims and getting paid is a very length process for the physicians in their busy schedule and complicated too. In this scenario physicians need to hire medical billing companies who will do all these procedure on behalf of a physician. All the rights related to medical billing is giving to these medical companies by the physicians.

Now here is the vital task played by a medical company on behalf of the hospitals or doctors or physicians. After collect the information from the physicians, the medical billing company submit all the bills to the insurance company. These information is related to the type of examination, the reason for the examination and the exact procedure has taken for that.

Now this is not a simple and single process. To collect all these information medical billing companies need to follow a process called medical coding. Medical coding is a terms where medical terms convert into numeric code. All medical billing companies have expert, trained, skilled knowledgeable people who do all these work.

These process is not a single process. To claim to the insurance company they need to go through some procedure like insurance verification, claim submission, payment posting and so on.

First it is important to verify the insurance which the patient has provided during the time of treatment. Medical billing company need to verify these information through online verification process. Then go through the form called Health Care Finance Admin where all the details have filled up by the patient.

Nowadays medical billing companies are using advance electronic transmission of claims where less paper work is needed. Most of the claim information send through internet directly to the insurance company

Medical billing has been around for decades. For much of that time it was largely unregulated and unorganized, and was conducted on paper in its entirety. In view of the voluminous paperwork involved and the exhaustive number of daily medical claims, the medical billing process became tedious, lengthy and time consuming. However, medical billing in the U.S. has undergone a sea change in terms of reforms, and the induction of state-of-the-art computer technology and software. This has virtually revolutionized medical billing and has given unprecedented ease of management and control to medical practitioners and insurance companies.
