After failing at adsense and making ends meet selling links and adspace I decided to step up to the plate of selling clickbank products after doing a lot of reading of journals so I decided to start my own so that I can help and inspire other beginners. I am a complete beginner to this and I am starting today so hopefully you can help me out as I go, I am still learning the tricks to clickbank. Right now I don't have a goal on how much I want to earn, but as much as possible would be great. My main concern and priority is actually selling products. Day 1 I have bought a .com for my campaign and luckily I was able to get a great domain name. I signed up for clickbank and began to look for the best products that I can promote. I decided not to go for products that had big returns because I won't be able to write enough about it. I'll admit that I have no idea on how to dominate the forex market or how the process even works so instead I chose three products that I felt comfortable with, games. I finished building my website and looked through various known successful affiliate websites to see what they're doing right. For obvious reasons I won't show you my website, but I will tell you that it's a good simple design and easy to follow. I am doing the classic top three products with ratings and reviews which should work great with these products. I also have started my seo campaign I have compiled a nice dofollow blog list and have gotten over 50 links PR 1-6 this should help a bit with PR and hopefully SERPS. Also of course I submitted my site to yahoo, google, and bing for faster indexing as well as created and submitted a sitemap for google. I have done careful research on which keywords to use using several tools mainly the google keyword tool. I decided to place more meta keywords rather than the classic four keyword maximum as recommended by seo wizards no particular reason either just a gut feeling. I have just signed up with ezine and article base, after reading several clickbank journals I have concluded the article base is the best way to go, but submitting articles to ezine won't hurt either. I'm writing 5 articles on each product as I type this hopefully they will get approved fast so that I can start pumping out articles on a daily basis. I like to experiment with different methods so I'm going to give social networks a try mainly myspace using an automated friend requester I will build a niche targeted friends list and then send bulletins every now and then this might bring some traffic right? I'm also going to give twitter a try not sure how exactly I can make sales from there, but i'll be sure to figure it out. Day 2 My articles have been approved at articlebase but still pending at ezine go figure. I am going to write 5 more articles right now about the niche and submit them again to ezine and articlebase. I have signed up for myspace and begun to add targeted friends as well on twitter. I continued with the seo campaign, but this time a bit less due to some time consumption elsewhere I was only able to get 10 backlinks pr 3-4 My sitemap has been downloaded by all search engines and my site is already indexed by all of them especially google. The articles that I wrote have already been indexed at articlebase which brought me 10 visitors in the first day of the site opening hehe. I am going to start promoting my website with my other sites since I have a chain of game related sites I think it'll help to put a good word on the site people will be able to trust it more. I have decided also to make a youtube video since the videos already on there are a bit outdated I think it'll gain more trust and attention. that sums up day 2 I know it isn't much but it's late and I was distracted by something else so hopefully day 3 will be full of work. Submitting articles with links back to your site to article directories allows traffic to flow from the article to your site as well as providing back links for your site which will get picked up by search engines .
The only dumb questions in life are the ones note asked The reason why is because if you look at almost every article on ezine.com and articlebase you'll see at the end of the article most people would say "if you want to learn more about {insert product name here} then go to my website www.landingpage.com" I'll update day 3 in a little bit I have to do something first thanks for reading
Day 3 I have written and submitted five more articles to ezine and articlesbase, but as usualy ezine still hasn't approved my previous articles yet. I visited the traffic section at the BST here on DP and was able to get a free review for 1000 niche targeted visitors so hopefully that'll convert into something. I keep going with my seo campaign this time I was able to get 20 backlinks PR1-5 hopefully that'll do something for my SERPS. I continued to build niche targeted friends on myspace and twitter, but I won't be able to do much til later on. I promoted my landing page on some other game related sites, but for no investment so far I'm trying to keep my investments to a minimum. I recieved a voucher for adwords valued for $25 so that was pretty cool I've started a campaign for my landing page hopefully it'll bring in some traffic. That sums up day three Total Investment So Far: Domain - $10

Wow nice going, so how many articles all up you got submitted now? Also, you should have gone for the 75$ AdWords coupon would have lasted you longer and you can buy them on the BST forums for like $8
I have 15 submitted and yeah I should've but I forgot people sold vouches I used to have hostgator hosting and I got this one in the mail so I used it, oh well not a lot of investment so far at least Day 4 will be updated later today
Day 4 Which was actually yesterday was pretty bad I had to go to the hospital but I was able to squeeze out 5 articles anyway (hurray for laptops) I couldn't do much not even build links, so it was a slow day. Hopefully today will go a lot smoother, day 5 will be updated later today.
Hope you know Articlebase is no follow, guess that you are after the traffic. How are your articles ranking?
yeah that's what I'm aiming for now because I am doing the seo campaign in order to gain better PR and SERPS. Day 5 Sorry for the late update I've been ill but I'm getting better and since I have to stay home I can work more. I wasn't able to get out articles this day but I setup a blog on my landing page so that it looks more "legit" and also it's better for seo. I started to post bulletins on myspace and people are actually responding asking me questions so that was a good move. Twitter hasn't been as effective but it has brought my some traffic hopefully as I get more followers my traffic will increase. My adwords campaign still hasn't kicked off I contacted google and they said that my daily budget was too low for them to show my ads so I increased and put a cap to $25 so it won't go over. If you guys have any advice for me that would be great after all we're all learning here! Day 6 will be updated shortly
if you read my last post which obviously you didn't you'll see that someone already informed me lol I am actually getting good traffic from articlesbase, ezine hasn't even approved my first submission of articles thats how bad it is, I contacted them and they told me I have to continue waiting til an editor reviews them. Day 5 Still no sales! I am thinking about investing a little bit, but not sure on what exactly so if anyone has any ideas I'm all ears. Today I'm mainly going to set up the blog, I have already installed a nice theme and wordpress that'll target gamers. I'm also going to do more promotion through the gaming sites I already own which seemed to give me a nice boost of traffic since my sites are trusted. If you've been reading this journal than you know how I like to experiment so this time my experiment is going to be with real life gamers, meaning that instead of talking to gamers online I'll be targeting gamers in reality. So I'm going to be posting in craigslist and posting fliers to see if teens and adult gamers buy. Well I'm off to make fliers if you have anymore ideas or questions let me know. Have you tried press release submissions - I have tried on other niches and been sucessful and you can try for gaming too.
