The changing face of muslim women: Iranian woman Racer

I recently came to know of this. A women racer in iran, who made her mark in the male dominated scene. Thought it was interesting, especially compared to the burka clad woman in this thread

Wow...great stuff. It is sick that we have to be amused that a woman can be a race car driver...we shouldn't be amused, nor phased...it shouldn't even be a second thought.

 

But She's not even a German! How can she be a Racer???

 

That actually doesn't make any sense at all.

 

The thing that stands out to me is their horrible color matching. A blue and white helmet, a red and white racing uniform (accents of yellow), and a pink scarf covering her ears. Those fashion police on E! would croak if they saw this. No, but good for them over there. I hope they are starting to become more lenient on this.

 

And they say that women don't have privileges. Look at what men have to wear:

religious background and embracing sports like Car Racing....
