    I'm in detroit ... and you have reason to celebrate. Well done.

    Too bad the Tigers tanked in the final series. I've never seen a worse showing of fundemental fielding than in this series by Detroit.

    Thanks! I didn't really watch much of the regular season, but I imagine that Detroit played much better then.... What was up with all the walks? I don't think there was a single game that the cards won that the pitchers for Det. didn't keep walking everyone to fill the bases.

    Yes, the Detroit pitchers had a hard time. I was impressed how the Cardinals would take advantage of so many of the mistakes. No doubt they earned the title.

    The series between the Cardinals and the Mets was very good. I think there's something to be said about a team that has to fight to keep going (Cardinals 7-games against the Mets) versus a team that has a pretty easy go of it (Tigers against Yankees, Oakland).
