The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit

    I am trying to buy some services and products via my paypal account using credit card .But while i processing i got the below error message.

    " The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit or debit card number." .
    I contact my credit card bank they are saying there is no problem with your payment. I want to get solve this issue. Please if any know about this please share here..

    Which bank credit card is it? Check if the card number or cvv code is correct and try again.

    I have the same problem with one of my cards. I called up and asked my bank about it, they told me it was because of the type of card it was.

    You may not use All VCC's to verify your Paypal account , only some certain vcc's may be used

    Check if your card support interenational transaction or not and make sure you have exact same name as on paypal otherwise it wont allow to send money

    I had a similar problem with my card recently. As far as I can gather it's because:

    1. It's a Visa debit or "Electron" card (i.e. direct debit from account) and
    2. I was ordering internationally (in my case, shoes from Spain to the UK).

    The only other time I've been refused online is by M&S, who I contacted for an explanation. Apparently, Electron cards are available on accounts where the holder is 16 or older. Since they can't absolutely guarantee you are a legal adult (18), they have to refuse certain types of purchases, one of which is online orders.

    I don't know if this is exactly the same thing but I suspect it is (i.e. due to the card type). I worked around it by using the PayPal "eCheque" option which does the same thing but takes longer (a week or so to clear the funds).

    Then milady decided she didn't want the shoes anyway. :rolleyes:
