the calm before the storm...or am I wrong ?

    Hello dir owners,

I am curious to see if this happens to you as well. I noticed that after the PageRank update, there is 1-2-3 weeks in which...the paid submissions are very few. After this period, the submission are increasing each day. Not only after this update...but for the latest one I experienced the same problem.

Do you feel this as well ? Is this dead period haunting you as well ?

if your inner pages have PR, i think there is no dead period.
If your inner pages have no pagerank, this is the dead period right now. So i agree.
In a few weeks people get desperate for finding backlinks (with pr), so they wil be satisfied with a PR0 of N/A link

I haven't mention nothing about the PageRank...I was talking in general. Since google is dicking  the PR's when Fatt Butts wake's up depressed in the morning, PageRank is no longer a good quality indicator. Or not the only one.

I agree with that. But most people are still looking for PR (dont ask me why :p )

My penised website, without PR, made a PR2 of one of my other sites. So penised directories still flow pr

This is why the Link Sales forum is getting more and more popular than directory related ones.

The start of the month was always slow for me. I believe its because people spend $$$ on direct sitewide/homepage link, then if they have some budget to spare they use it on directories at the end of the month:)

I don't pay any attention to pagerank, it's worthless. The only winner here is Google - all this talk gives them a nice mention and a ton of repeat exposure. :D

What's the pagerank for your directory? I don't think this will happen to pr1 or pr2 directories.

    4 & 6.
Bu to be honest, I got at least 3 times more submissions when I had PR3.
Let's say...goodbye to the PageRank, hello to the traffic !
