I recently posted a thread on BST link sales forum for buying blog posts and got an impressive 90 PMs. It literally took me 7 long hours skimming through each of those PMs and got only a handful of average sites. It was very tedious and also a big waste of time. Most offers were from crap blogs on dropped domains or cheap blogs with only paid posts and links to viagra! i am pretty disappointed with this. Hence I seek your advice as where to search for buying quality blog posts? Thanks in advance Tamas
The same problem I see in the link exchange section (even though I never got so many PM's). But some percentage of the link exchange offers are good if you are exchanging links with low PR websites (low PR but still quality content). Quality high PR websites is difficult to find there.
Most of the sites on DP are rubbish because they'll write a blog post on just about anything and link out to just about anything. It does take time to find the blog owners who care about their blog and actually write unique content for it. There are sites like sponsoredreviews.com but I have never used them so I'm not sure whether they suffer from the same quality control problems. You could be better off using an article syndication service instead.
simpseo, you are telling the right thing. the blogs in BST section are created purely to sell links on them!
Most of them are crap, but there is a good chance to get good and quality websites. Yes, as you said, this will eat away lot of our time. But it is worth the time spent. You said, you have got handful of average websites. Aren't you able to make out one from that? I am also in the plan to buy blog post. After seeing your experience, I am in a bit of nervous situation.
As the OP said, virtually all the posts in buy/sell links section are useless. Practically all of the blogs offered there were bought in the domain section (with PR3+) and have unpronounceable names and created just to sell links.
If you want quality links, then be prepared to pay for it. Serious webmasters aren't going to sell links for a few bucks a month, and there's a good chance that they won't even list that they are selling links on their site. Since you're so disappointed about the dismal sites you attracted, perhaps you should scope out the hidden market. Don't take the easy way out, and you choose the sites where you want a link. Once you've done a little research, try contacting those site owners via email and do some negotiation. Yes, there's more work involved because the links are coming to you, but it will pay off more in the end. Not only that, but you don't have to worry about dealing with crap because you're the one making the picks to start.
Forum management wont really have the time to check all of them, I guess. If you need better results you should check on some good ad networks to checks them.
I am looking for the same thing. Problem is what you get on the net and here isn't gonna work. Could just hire a freelance writer?
so true, BST section lost its value. it is now playground of dropped domain link sellers. on my last WTB thread looking for blogposts/link, i got over 150 PMs in one day but 99% of them are crappy dropped domains quickly converted to blog. dropped domain link sellers are preying on unsuspecting link buyers capitalizing on the PR from the dropped domains. can't buy a decent link form there these days
