the blog xml vb hack

    was it something just custom-done for DP? or is it available at vbuletin.org? I couldn't find it...

    if it was just something for DP, is there any way you'd consider releasing it to the public as a hack?

    Yes, the blog hack was something Shawn whipped up for the DP Forums. I don't know if he's going to release it to the general public (I wouldn't
    :D ). But it doesn't hurt to ask. He'll be back from Russia next week.

    I doubt he will (as you know summer... lol) because giving it to one person means 400 boards would have it up in a few hours- making DP less unique.

    Just found this thread (I just skimmed when I got back from Russia... too many posts). But to answer everyone's questions... It's something I did, don't really want to give it out so I can try to retain some uniqueness and yes.. it checks every hour on the 15th minute. :)

    Also, not that anyone will notice or care, but I set it up so the hourly update is done in it's own thread so it doesn't slow down the user who happened to be the one to trigger it (vBulletin works so that a 1x1 pixel can trigger the cron jobs setup in it). Was annoying when the page would keep loading because that one pixel wasn't done. :)
