Sims 2 Social bookmarking refers to posting sites you like (ie your own) on sites like Technorati, Delicioius, Stumble Upon, Digg (There are hundreds of them..Redditt, Spurl, etc). Technically they are not all "bookmarking" but they are sites that are publically discussed/voted/promoted. It has the dual advantage of driving traffic, and building links to your site. I can make a post on my blog, then submit or vote it on Digg, propeller, Stumble and I will get 100 to 200 visitors after that. And aften the links are high PR - depending on the tags you choose. regards
No, I just leave mine alone. I guess it doesn't matter whether you delete them or not as mine runs smoothly with them left on the server.
Just heard it's the safe thing to do for security reasons. That's why I was checking if anyone in here does that. Thanks.
great topic thanks a lot there is a plugin similar to OnlyWire Autosubmit to auto submit posts to digg ?
do not submit all your posts to digg. they will ban your url permanently. Add only few articles. give enough time between one with another.
Wow... as a newbie to blogging on WP, this topic just made me smile Can't wait to get home and fire up the blog with some of this new found info at my fingertips. Thanks a million for your hard work in this topic !
Thanks to everyone who contributed all this great information! I am just starting out on WP and I have a meaty guide to help me now!
I would like to know if the writer of the thread has a network of WP blogs and how much $$$ he is making
I just have 1 blog only. And its earn me around $10/month. It not huge money coz i do this for my hobby
I've got many WP blogs, in many different niches. I don't want to disclose too much information about my monthly income on a forum that is visited by thousands of users every day. I'm sure you understand it.
I understand a few things indeed How many WP blogs do you manage and what is your strategy (1 big blog and many satellites, a few big blogs, niche blogs, some landing pages, a directory...)? Is you mainr source of income affiliate marketing? Advertising (adsense)? This is a key issue about blogging professionally
The best thing about Wordpress is, that you can use it so many ways to make money from it. To answer your questions: I manage many WP blogs, some of them are auto updated, some of them need daily/weekly updates, some of the blogs are just sitting on my server. A few marketers say that having 1 flagship blog is crucial in the blogging business. In a way it's true, as a flagship blog can be used to promote new products for free, giving some link juice to your new blogs etc. But you have to know one thing about flagship blogs. They need to be updated with unique, quality content regularly, so if you're lazy, or you don't have time to take care of updating a blog like that, to build links to it etc. than forget about creating a flagship blog. Personally, I have many niche blogs, it's easier to rank them in the SERPs. Income: I use affiliate marketing, Adsense, and CPM ads on my blogs, depending on the niche. I usually don't mix Adsense and affiliate links on my blogs, but of course it depends on the niche.
How many WP blogs do you manage? I guess it's not hundreds of WP blogs The flagship blog must be updated regularly. I don't get it. Some of the blogs who are just sales pages may not be updated (at all) but in order to benefit from the potential of WP all the blogs have to be updated regularly. If WP is used to build some kind of landing pages of course there is no need for updates. The problem with WP is that it displays archives and dates and if a site is not updated and shows old dates, users will maybe leave the site without reading anything. For how long are you in (the online) business? And when did you start to use WP for your sites?
