I went to work yesterday morning as per usual. As I parked my car I switched off the ignition, undid my seat belt and stepped out of the car, and there it was staring me right in the face. A rifle pointed right at me by a man in a balaclava! The open door stood between him and me. Right at that moment, another car had underestimated the stopping time between his car (doing 50 mph) and the traffic lights (turned red) with a car already stopped at the lights. SCREEEEEEECCCCCHHHH - - - - - - - - - BAAAAAANNNGGGGGG!!!!! The car had rear-ended the stopped car so hard it pushed the car totally in front of the white line at the lights. Both the man in the balaclava and myself looked further along the adjacent street to see a semi-trailer doing about 80 mph with about 50 yards before it reached the rear-ended smashed car in the middle of the intersection! My car was just past the intersection and it also in the path of that truck! Time was short and was disappearing quickly! It was RIGHT AT THAT POINT when I realised I was in a 50/50 situation. I had to ask THAT BIG QUESTION! Should I have got third party insurance or full comprehensive insurance?
