I posted earlier looking for Canadian hosting, I really am just looking for the best hosting at the cheapest prices. I would like PHP, MySQL, spam protection and the other 'norms'. Anyone have any good suggestions. I have heard GoDaddy offers pretty good plans, but just want to make sure I am getting the best bang for my Canadian buck...
What kind of site are you trying to host NC? www.netnation.com A large host in your neck of the woods, I used them, their email sucked and I find that important in managing a website.
The first one is for the local hockey team. They have to get off this hosting company they are using up here. The url redirect is killing them and their indexing. It will have a forum, I would like to have some form of ecommerce store for merchandise etc... I would host them myself, but they get too much traffic already and I haven't even designed the 'nice' site yet...
Well NetNation is located up there, contact them and let them know what you want to do, they take phone calls and are a large company that serves small and large sites alike. They offer anything you need including reseller plans.
AC, I am looking under the $15/month range. The owner of the domain does not want to invest too much more money into it... remember, he is paying me for the redesign
Godaddy is cheap, but if you buy USA your dollar does not go as far, right? I don't know if you can get a package to host a website with a forum that cheap NC PS: I think some hosts like LunarPages will not host vBulletin forums, so it does also matter what kind of forum software you are going to run.
Totalchoicehosting.com has been good for me. I'm pretty new to web hosting, and I'd imagine they aren't the absolute cheapest. That said, there rates appear good and the support has been fantastic for a new user like myself.
Wow, that is some pretty good plan options. Can someone check them out to verify they are not missing something obvious. Just to make sure...
I just joined with http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/ They seem to have the best prices and options. Although, they are taking a long time to approve my account (considering my card was charged instantly)... hehe
