Which site do you think is the best source of useful explanations, tips and information for html/web design, apart from DP?

You can try W3Schools, and they have all HTML tags expained and there are many other sources, you can just Google it.

Ive recently began to discover this and wish i had sooner, that the endless web design, html, CSS, photoshop blogs and sites out there have more info than you can possibly keep up with, theres so much reading material its unreal.

They go so deep into specific things like fonts too, color choice etc.

Both ZacharyW & Professional Dude have made great suggestions.

Also try http://net.tutsplus.com/ its really great, from that site you will find loads more sites.

DP doesn't have much of anything for good design info/tips IMHO.

There's so much good stuff out there for inspiration and how to do things. I haven't found a "best source" yet, but I have about 10-15 sites that get most of my attention.

Yeah, start at the net tuts site and go from there. You'll quickly find many similar sites.

CreativePro.com is another site, but it's more focused on creatives in general rather than toward just one function/medium.

tizag.com is quite like W3Schools, often good to use with W3Schools so you get a decent basic knowledge.

    Also HTMLDog
