Ok, i know a lot of people have asked this question and a lot people have answered it too. Let just say i have a site, may be about 2 months old. In 3 days, the web has been indexed by Google and in one month the site is in page 2 of Google SERP and 1st page of Yahoo SERP with a certain keyword. I add hundreds of content, place my site links everywhere (forums, blog, web dir, etc). But what do i get? The visitors only around 80-100/day and got around $1/day. I've blend the ads so it won't look like an ads (like everyone's said), i also place images around the ads, but ofcourse with borders around it. Link exchange is not working to well with me, since many site prefer to exchange beetwen high pankrank sites, while my site still stuck with 0 page rank . So the big question is is there something i missed? . Since i'm stuck with around 100 visitors a day.
I would be interested in the answer to this question too. It seems as if my sites do pretty well initially, and then go downhill even as I add more content. Maybe the visitors to my site get progressively ad-blinded?
your site is only two month old maybe you should give it some more time before you start seeing a increase in traffic and income, continue getting more backlinks.
Well at first i also think like you, but i have seen many people get more than $5 in the first day the site was launch.
it also depends on your niche i suppose. for example if i have a website in which only certain people would be interested (would restrcit the visitors) and I am placed very well in SE with respect to some word "blah blah blah" which is not searched at all. I will never get visitors. If you have placement like 1st 2nd in SE for the keyword which has even moderate searches you are bound to get a lot of traffic. The key to traffic is the combined effect of SERP and "niche". thats my opinion.
Article and bookmark submission might be your next step. Each url should have bookmarks. Try publishing part of your articles (the minimum number of words) with a linked message To Read More CLICK HERE. Some article sites get their articles onto page 1 of Google within a couple of hours and if they are linked to your site will bring lots of relevant traffic.
PPC works on those sites where the Traffic is already generated in a huge volume. For me i like CPA, the commissions are relatively high in the market.
i bealive ppc works on high traffic websites. and to boost your income you should start add some content and do some seo. tattoo designs
The best tip anyone can give you is to keep on chugging, and get outside help. Maybe someone else in your niche (or from another) will have great insight on how you can grab some low hanging fruit, or even help you build a harvesting machine to get the whole orchard.
Pick a keyword...find some free web directories and use your keyword as the title of your website. The more links you have with your desired anchor text, the higher your page will rank for a specific keyword. If that keyword has a lot of traffic than you will receive more visitors
Depending on the niche and the targeted keyword. Highest pay is CPA, if keyword and the content matches well. For info sites, adsense seems to work well. Try different combinations while keep promoting your site (I would recommend profile backlinks and blog comments, when your PR is low).
Keep working to improve your serp on your main keyword, then do some additional keyword research and add some content for an additional keyword so you can build additional traffic from that. Just a couple of months is too short a time to expect to see big results. (the early bird gets the worm, the second mouse gets the cheese)
I use all of these on an almost daily basis every month and I still see my traffic drop like a stone since the Google updates earlier this year. You are obviously doing it better than me.
