The best way to go about wording what your product is

I'm developing my music lesson blog and setting up an application like the Guardian and other online newspapers. The application works where whenever you read a blog post/article it will appear in the corner of the user's Facebook. My question is whether posts should be defined as a post or as an article.

This may seem a small detail but it will appear every time an article is read, and I'm very new to marketing!

    with love

Personally I'd go for article. Posts are reminiscent of blogs and message boards which anyone with access to a laptop and a tenth of a brain can write. The word article on the other hand suggests an area of expertise as reinforced in Facebook land by it's association with broadsheet newspapers as you mention above, thus I reckon users would be more likely drawn in and trusting of something calling itself an article. Good luck with it!

I would go with article, and be sure to focus all of your marketing efforts on how this will benefit your potential customer.

    Good luck!

Yeah - post seems a big vague... it could be me "posting" on here - 20 words even, whereas an article generally, at least to me, means more lengthy and informative.
