The best way to get people to my blog?

I have a tech blog where i post latest tech and gadget news, reviews about softwares, gadgets and services. Moreover i am offering free tech support too. Its new and i am utilizing social media and on page SEO for the traffic. But is there any other method or way to get more people to my blog? Suggestions please

There are some good tips here. You might also try having a guest author write a post for your blog. If the author has a blog with a bigger following than yours then more than likely the author will point their followers to your blog to read the post and you might gain some new followers that way.

Hire someone with a high KLOUT score or find someone who has a big twitter or facebook following and ask his/her rate for writing an article.
He/she will then share the article with his/her visitors and followers.
Other ways are finding same niche blogs as yours and comment on them.

From my experience I would say Guest Posting in relevant blogs. I have almost tried every form of link building and even though it will attract visitors to your blog, they will lack in quality. If you guest post and get published you'll get relevant traffic with the chance of these visitors becoming long-term readers of your blog.

Forum posting has done well over the years but you need to make sure to build your credibility before you attract any visitors. Help people out and spend some time in forums answering the tough questions.

 

Easiest way to get people to your blog is to go to communities, forums and blogs and interact with people. No point sitting around and waiting. It might be hard work but you will begin to see results quickly

2. comment on same niche blogs or just blogs you like to read.
3. provide constant quality content for your visitors.
4. approve comments fast and reply to them. Take care of your community.
5. be nice and professional, people will start liking you.

@SuperiorWD good list... I'm in a similar boat looking at ways to get my site higher up the ladder (currently PR2) things I've read recently are

1. Guest blogging is apparently no longer that useful - unless its good quality
2. Comments on blogs - so many times they're "awaiting moderation" due to bots, and just hardly get approved
3. Participating in forums - seems a good way - but it's finding the right niche to contribute to

 

Think about your audience.

What appeals to them? Where do they hang out on the Internet?

Go to those places and network with them, get content linking back to your site posted on places they're likely to read, participate in their forums etc.

Well, getting people onto blog is not that easy as it sounds I have tried this personally you must be having a good quality of content in terms of the time and users based, you just can't put ex: what is SEO?, what is backlink? ... etc you need to dig more deep onto it by inventing something different that will attract user to remain on your blog for sometime otherwise you will end up in nothing, even if you have good ranking in search engine or a larger number of visitor you'll have higher bounce rate and I don't think that having a higher bounce rate is good !!
