SEO Elite is probably the best thing out there for finding out backlinks. Yahoo site explorer is really good as well.

This feature had been disabled for some time, but MSN just enabled the ability to search for links on their search engine again the other day.

    The proper syntax is +link:www.example.com

    I hope that helps!

Yahoo site explorer is the best free tool, you also can use it to find where your competitors are getting their links from...

Yahoo explorer is still probably the most comprehensive. Or sign up for a free Google Webmaster account and use their tool under sitemaps. They let you download everything to Excel.
