    is to COPY YOUR COMPETITOR!!!

    thats right!!

How is it that your competition has 150000 backlinks and you only have 100?

~Has your competitor submited to directories?? This is a 100% way to ensure that your site will get listed here too.
~Has your competitor made a blog comment with a backlink to his site?? add one for your website too!
~Has your competitor made a link exchange? make one with that website
~Has your competitor made a forum post? post your site on that forum too!

This is the best way to determine if the forum/blog owner will allow users to add a backlink on their site

to see your competors backlinks go to:
    http://www.smartpagerank.com/pagerank-backlinks.php
    Code (markup):
or you can go to google and type:
    link: http://www.domain.com
    Code (markup):

This trick especially works if your competitor has done link building himself.

Smart! Sometimes it's the easiest things right in front of our faces that are so hard to find!

Probably the easiest way to find competitors is to search the keywords you are going after, then picking from the top results in the bunch and go from there.

Do you guys find that building links yourself is better than hiring someone to do it for you?

I find it's more tedious than hiring someone, but then I don't have an option ;)

    kikolani gives one way...
Another way would be to check out a few directories that your site would fit under and those listed in your best category would be your direct competitors.

good advice buddy .Because we have to compete so we have to do more than our competitor . Search out good resources for your site like search out sites where your site reviews and articles can publish and site should be relevant to your product.

I use this tactic only when I run out of link building ideas.
It's impossible to copy each and every link your competitor has anyway ;)

If you can afford it get a copy of seo elite. it is really powerful and I think it is about £169 dollars. lthough if you have a clickbank account you can buy it through your own link and get it at half price.

The seo elite training videos (google "seo elite training videos") give you a lot of help and information for free. It shows you how to spy on your competition and see how they have got up the rankings.
