I just wrote an ebook that I'm hoping will go viral. What's the best way to distribute it? I uploaded it to a few free file sharing sites but I'm not so sure whether people will find them in the search engines. Any suggestions?
Marketing on forums as a giveaway is helpful, but you need to tell people why they need your free book. Is it just like all the other affiliate marketing books or do you have a different slant on things? Also if you have a facebook fan page, or twitter you can offer the free download on there. And you could also look for someone willing to email to their list in exchange for you mailing their offer to your list.(if you have a list). I am a little surprised if you know about affiliate marketing that you would not know how to market this book. marketing something for free can be handled just like marketing for pay. If you want it to go viral, it has to be exceptional.
You have a few options with selling an ebook. Personally I would stick to a few different marketing and guru forums such as DP and WarriorForum. It would help if you had good reputation on forums as far as a vivid poster and good feedback. This will help immensely with sales. DP now has a good ebook marketplace if you haven't checked that out yet. Your second option would be to get a landing page designed and developed for yourself and mass advertise it and go crazy getting backlinks and keywords for your niche. This is your best bet actually if you can do all of these things. The best part with this is that you can promote on forums at the same time. One last option that i have is selling it on any affiliate product site and have people promote it for you. Again, this is another option that you can intertwine with the other two. Hope this helps!
