The Best Type Of Websites?

I am sorry if this is in the wrong section, but what is the best type of websites to start up, and attract several members?

I already own 3 sites, but they are rather small, and I am looking to attract hundreds of members.

I am debating starting a teen website, or something of the sort to hopefully grab some of that age group. The only problem is, how would I tap into that market, or any other market.

I know this must be unclear so what I am asking is basically what is the best type of websites to start up, and how would I go about attracting new members without spending a lot of money.

    Thank You

Wordpress, definitely WordPress. Very easy to install and maintain, plus thousands of Plugins that make the site unique and awesome! WordPress is a free install after you have a domain name and hosting of course.

The other great thing is there are tens of thousands of themes also! Depending on your niche, you should be able to find a pre-built theme that is also very easy to install and activate!

    Good Luck!

the best time of website is one that you would enjoy working on and could genuinely contribute to the niche with well written, original content.

Well it has to be niche, unsaturated, original and attractive. There's not one particular type of site that will get lots of hits and generate a lot of revenue, or we'd all be rich. Try and find a niche, and exploit it, before it becomes saturated with other attempts to take advantage of it.

everyone here is wrong. the best type of website is the type that will make you more money. a website that doesn't make you money, not worth the hassle. and the best type of website is also the one that makes real long term money with the lowest efforts of time and investment.

Any thing can make money if you know how to mint it.
Its very difficult to cater to the teen as a whole until and unless you are making the next facebook or myspace. Rather divide them and rule. Go for niche sites. Think of 10 things you and your friends would like to do. Choose one and go for that. 1/10 of the teen population is actually HUGE.

The thing is if someone knew a website to start up and make quick money at then thousands of people would not come on here daily exchanging ideas and techniques. It is more about trying to find something you enjoy doing and have knowledge bout or if you can code or have a budget you can make a product that other people need. It all comes down to supply/demand just like in other businesses.

There are many factors that you need to consider when it comes to choosing the right website. The end product would mostly depend upon your ability to decide which type of website suit your purpose best. Your decision, in turn would be influenced by what type of audience you intend to attract. In order to gain a certain amount of clarity on this aspect use the following questions as guidance:

    - What is the purpose for which you are setting up this website?

Your website could be a personal page to be used to share information with family and friends; it could be used for launching your business online; or it could be used as a community forum, and so on.

    - Who would be your intended clients, readers?

It is important to visualize your clients so you could understand what exactly would interest them. Your website should be able to hold their attention long enough to get them want to become your customers.

    - What you want to display on your website?

If your website is meant for professional use, the tone of the overall image should be serious; if you are into business you could always choose between employing a funny content website (such as with cartoons, funny animation, etc) and an informative one.
