What are the best traffic sources for your sites? Here is my google analytics summary of traffic sources for the last month: 1. blog postings (35%) 2. google organic (25%) 3. direct traffic (30%) 4. social bookmarking sites (15%) 5. forum postings (40%) 6. link directories (0%) 7. link exchanges (0%) As for quality, blog postings are the best as well, along with forum postings (about 5 pages per visit, 4 min. average time on site), social bookmarking sites are the worst. Doing link exchanges and submitting to link directories might improove your pr, but in terms of traffic they worth exactly nothing (i'm not listed at yahoo, dmoz). What works best for you?
bindu, had a couple of questions if you could.... what do you consider organic traffic? this is probably going to seem like a very lame question but, are you posting an article on the blog of another, leading back to your site or blog? I guess those would be considered links, or a different type of dynamic? thanks...
If you are just talking about traffic. Stumble has done wonders for me but you really need to spend time out there. Other sites were also gud like, Digg, Linkedin...
my traffi almost from foriums and google search. Direct only lttle bcz my domain name is new and not so pretty
Most of our traffic so far has come from direct traffic and google. Besides those, the greatest traffic has come from blogspot, articlesbase.com, and feedburner.com
On my most popular website that gets a large amount of traffic it is around 80% or so Google, 2nd would be Yahoo, 3rd most traffic comes from link exchanges, 4th forums/blogs postings, and so on.
