I'm running a PPC campaign that lands the user on a specific page related to the ad's product (They're all affiliate links). Simple enough. My question is, should the title text of the ads include the products price? Right now the title of my ads are like this: [Product Name] - $x.xx Free Shipping blah blah 105% Lowest Price I figured this would be a good idea seeing that not everyone searching for my keywords are looking to purchase. For example: Product A is searched on google by a user, but they could be looking for reviews of product A. I would imagine that by putting the price there, it would only target those interested in purchasing the product. Good or bad idea? Suggestions? Thanks much.
Test it, and write a second copy and test that. And check your Conversions and see which performs better.
While you may get less overall visitors, you should get more qualified visitors. As the previsou poster suggested, test a few variations to determine the best converting ad. One thing to watch for using this method is the prices of your competitors. If they have lower prices and are including them in their ads they'll have the edge.
Just remember that if your ad includes a price, it should be clearly and accurately displayed on your website within 1-2 clicks of your ad's landing page.
