Cianuro is right. I guess I didn't quite make myself clear. For SEO purposes, you have much more flexibility with your link and your link text than you would with a regular directory. Most directories require simply your domain name: no deep linking. They also want the exact title that is on your site, not some keyword rich phrase. Article directories will let you link to example.com/subfloor2/room48/shelf2.htm and they'll let you use a phrase like "The Web's Best Wedding Candle's at Discount Prices" for the link text.
