The best RPG for 2008

I have played a lot of RPG like Fable, Oblivion, Jade Empire etc but i want to buy a new RPG , what would you recommend ? Any ideas, which is the best?

 

Do you like western RPG's or Japanese RPG's more? Fable and Oblivion are more western style...so...I think you'll love Fallout 3 by Bethesda Softworks, for Windows, Xbox 360, and PS3 coming out later this year. Similiar to Oblivion in some ways, but set in a more modern setting, with guns and such.

Of course, Final Fantasy XIII is supposed to come out this year as well, and Lost Odyssey comes out next month for the Xbox 360 (from Mistwalker, founded by the same guy who created the Final Fantasy series). Those are more JRPG's though, so it depends on your taste.

Isn't a RPG a rocket propelled grenade or am I missing something?

 

I really don´t know... since Oblivion and Ghotic (and this one had some playing bugs) i dont really fancy anyone...nor i´m optimistic for new releases

 

Well, you've played Fable, so obviously Fable 2 should be high on your list if you liked it.

Fallout 3 is also one you should watch out for. I played a build of it at a private thing a while back, and it's amazing.

Assuming they come out this year, the other top two would be White Knight Story and FF13, but you'll need to own a PS3 to play those.

 

Yes, and a role playing game in this case. It's just a certain type of video game.

 

Surprised no one has mentioned it yet but anyway, I'd recommend Mass Effect for the Xbox 360.
I'm looking forward to stuff like Fable 2 and Final Fantasy XIII, too.
