1] Flexible schedule. 2] Frees up a lot of time that would usually be wasted commuting to and back from work [And getting stuck in traffic jams and what not] to do better things with. I don't usually enjoy travelling unless its travelling for fun. 3] Fun and doing the thing that comes naturally to you. Now on to the things that I hate .......
Well I started a bit of freelancing just in between jobs but I have started to wonder how long I can do it, because it really is great for a number of reasons. I would love to study more and freelance writing means I am constantly learning, never losing that drive to learn and work hard academically, and it will give me the time to do part time courses in the future if I decide to. The problem I am having, however, is being at home so much. I find it hard to get into the right routine, but I feel as though I am getting there.
Freelancing lets me be a mom full-time. That means I don't choose my freelance schedule - all of my freelance work is part-time at the end of the day, but that works for me. My kids are only little once. Granted this year, I'm back in the classroom, but my freelance schedule hasn't changed - I still work part-time in the evenings and parent in all the hours in-between. LOL
