All freelance writers are invited to answer this question :-
What, according to you, is the best part about being a freelance writer?

Well, there are a lot of things I like about being a freelancer. But if there's one thing, it's the flexible schedule. I can always move my schedule later in the day if I have other things to do aside from work.

I agree - the schedule is the best part for me. A few weeks back I decided to alter my work schedule - 5am - noon for client work (then my lunch hour is my 8th hour from noon to 1pm). I get enormously more done each day for clients and have increased the work load a bit, still have time for my personal projects, and still have time to relax at the end of the day and socialize. I couldn't have set my schedule around my productive times working for an employer full time - now my clients get my best hours, and I get time for myself where I'm not stuck working late half the time because I couldn't focus well in the afternoon. Loving it.

Getting to choose my projects is pretty good too though - there's a lot to love about freelancing. :)

Definitely flexibility. You're not confined to a schedule, and you can be free to choose topics and clients. =)

Oh, and you can add being able to choose the projects that you want to take, up to a certain extent of course. But you definitely have more control than working for the man in the office.

There are a lot of good things about freelancing, but for me the best part is the freedom to choose the work I want to do and not having to do the work someone else thinks I should be doing.

In addition to the things already stated, I have to say that freedom from office politics and water cooler gossip are definitely a couple of the perks for me!

Apart from being your own boss you don't have to wait for getting paid. Complete the assignments and get paid - no waiting time!!!

It's not always the case, though. It sometimes depends on your agreement with your client. :)

    Hi,

Freelance writing according to me is writing expressively our thoughts using good vocabulary and also making it interesting article.mainly topics relating to day to day life situations can bring about awareness and convey a message making a differance in a persons life. One need not go into heavy literature ,which can be taxing to a lay man .Writing to me is thoughts flowing in freely onto paper .

I would like to add that I love the associated learning effect. Whatever I earn is not even a percentage of what I actually learn while writing.
