I'm compiling info on the best link building companies on DP that do not rely on blog commenting, forum posting or social bookmarking. Companies here that actually contact relevant websites for links. Does anyone have recommendations?
Sorry. You just ruled out about 99% of what is here. Those types of firms have to have a more robust process for contact, follow-up, etc. They usually can't make a living on the prices you can charge here (because they are so low).. IMHO.
I have observed that the best SEOs on here don't post in B/S/T offering their services. So I wouldn't look there since they won't be competing with the cheap labour on offer and thus the inferior services of SEOs who only charge pocket change. If you're looking for the best SEOs I suggest you have at least a four figure budget to spend per month. IMO the number of really good SEOs who visit these forums and post fairly regularly is easily in the single digits. Look for people who offer real help on here and do not call themselves "experts" and you'll be off to a good start. Personally I do my own SEO so I don't have any first-hand experience of any SEOs who visit these forums but there are tons more wannabe SEOs here than people who really know their stuff.
