Site : www.profithost.net I never was so glad with any other company like with them. They`re really good. Support amusing. Anything you want they do it for free to you. Grade : 10/10 - SeoHawk
Are you talking about their beautiful female employees ? I'm plugging Servage. Never had any problems with them. The only thing I find bad is that they have an awkward control panel. Their own development. They claim this : I wonder what they will have to say when pointing them to this : hxxp://www.hdcluster.com/ hxxp://forums.dedicatedserverdir.com/showthread.php?p=69037 Anyway, everything else is pretty neat. Robert
yeah i agree -- right after it was sold to a US based company that now owns it /runs it -- that is when the security went to total and complete sh*t from what i can tell and the hackers have been running it ever since -- nothing is secure. the scumbags in charge now do not give a flying f**k and lie like dogs. wherever it is you can get that google report on scamware spyware server infestations or infections -- can't remember how you find it, but anyways find it and put in servage.net and you will see a gazillion infections and blocked sites. it's pathetic that they have no idea how to secure and maintain their servers but they don't and they lie and blame it on the customers. you can do a search for servage AND hacker OR hackers OR hacked ... etc and there are discussions and examples on webhosting forums where the hackers show what they did and what they found, etc. that's why i said you will regret using servage. the price was good but security the worst. and still looking for eu dk nl uk or even canada based hosting in the same price range -- maybe a reseller type -- thanks for the suggestions from others cos I will check them out too. oh yeah - their statistics are pathetic -- it goes to zero each month, no historical or saved logs, does not hold any settings past one month -- you have to reset each individual site and multiple settings within each site to keep any simple statistics each and every month on each and every site indivdiaully -- they don't allow awstats or any opensource stat programs -- total crapola-- really unprofessional and inefficient.
do you mean ecatel*net? a google search showed they have frequent downtime issues plus currently off line: why do they have unprotected naked indexes? > http://files.ecatel.nl/ reminds me of another crappy new reseller hosting services apparently run by complete novice(s) http://peachydandy.co.uk/
If you're looking for a good canadian based host with servers in the us and nl (plus asia) try underhost.us I have been with them for a while an have just bought a years worth of reseller hosting. Support is great, speeds are great, and pricing is good. no..I don't work there and am not affiliated with, just like their service.
Most, if not all, overselling shared hosting companies have (had) bad practices. Talking about being hacked, don't giving a phuck about your customers, AND putting the blame with your customers on top of that ? Let me introduce you to IX Web Hosting. Apparently hacked (or analy raped figuratively speaking) for umpteen months in a row) : IX Web Hosting - Possible Worst Host Ever? Deny Access To Your Files! IX Web Hosting Review at webhostingstuff.com IX Web Hosting Hacked - IX Web Hosting Warning ixwebhosting.com - Company Information at Geeks & God Until this date, they are still putting the blame with their customers : http://www.ixwebhostingforum.com/showthread.php?p=97 Take note of the replies by the admin. Someone once said to me : " IX can give you unlimited everything and umpteen dedicated IPs because noone is hosting with them anymore." Here reviews are collected and split up in positive and negative : IX Web Hosting User Reviews This positive review is phucking funny : http://www.ixwebhostingreviews.com/review/ixwebhosting/4124 BTW, he refers to these commercials : http://videos.godaddy.com/super-bowl-commercials.aspx And check this out, Web Hosting Talk forums (where people are complaining about IX, in the first link above) was hacked last March : Web Hosting Talk Hacked, Says No Credit Card/PayPal Info Taken So who is save, and who is next ? Maybe HostGator is safe to go with because they advertise with : "No contracts! We have no contracts and no hidden fees! You are free to cancel your web hosting at any time without cancellation fees." But alas, also HostGator, the darling of all overselling web hosters at the moment was also hacked last year : http://www.sublime-products.com/articles/hostgator-hacked/ But at least they didn't give their customer's the IX-treatment, and seem to have got their act together now. Funny detail : many IX refugees moved their websites to HostGator. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes. Just making a point that you will never be safe from hackers. Whether you're shared, vps, dedicated, etc. What may be a safe hosting provider today, might be the next hacked hosting provider tomorrow. But IX Web Hosting shouldn't have treated their customers like that, ever. That's just very bad service. Because, most people who take shared hosting, don't know anything about security. And therefore are the ones who are the most in need of support. They only want some space to put up a couple of slow loading webpages with as much animated gifs they can squeeze in. Maybe not such a bad thing that these pages are taken down by hackers. And I dont know too much about security either, also I'm not interested in security. But luckily I keep everything updated and pray to stay safe. As usual the thruth will be somewhere in the middle, with both camps bending the thruth to manipulate everyone and everything. Most shared hosting is crap anyway. It's like living on the edge. Even if the server doesn't get hacked. Your neighbour might be a spammer or phisher. When s/he gets caught, Google and others will ban you too. They don't ban on domain names but IP numbers and ranges. So at least get a dedicated IP with your shared hosting. And ask if you can have it before signing up so that you can check the IP number's history. Or else that you can have a new one after signing up. And yes funny : dedicated IP's come free with IX, and HostGator. Go figure out why! So I'm still contemplating whether to have a brief summer flirt with IX or not. Tempting! Robert
Just checked them out. At this time of the day, the speed is incredible from Europe. That is, when connecting to their own server in New York, according to this page : http://whois.domaintools.com/underhost.us BTW, you might want to add that the gurlie in the top right corner offers a 15% discount. Robert
Stay away from profithost.net their support is crap. I asked for a software to be installed on their remote desktop and they just ignored me. I have not heard a reply back for 4days now...
Watch this. Top 10 review of hosting companies : h[ttp://www.tophostreviews.com/ Top 10 review of hosting companies : h[ttp://trueblueservers.com/ At both : #1 IX Web Hosting #2 Host Excellence If you click through to their reviews they have almost perfect scores. The page title of both review sites is "TopHostReview.com". These two hosting companies also have the same owner : Fathi Said. This looks too fishy. So let's check who owns Top Host Reviews. Of course : Fathi Said And let's check who owns True Blue Servers. Of course : Fathi Said See for yourself : http://whois.domaintools.com/tophostreviews.com (The page might look finished, But the whois bit at the bottom might take a minute to show.) Click the "Reverse-IP"-link or the "1 other site is hosted on this server."-link. Lo and behold : Tophostreviews.com and Trueblueservers.com hosted at the same server. It gets even worse. Look at his contact email address in the whois at domaintools it's a company called ecommerce. h[ttp://www.ecommerce.com/solutions.php IX Web Hosting and WebHost.biz are listed. Not is he only cunning the public, he's also taking away potential payments from his affiliates. Here's an interview with mister Al Capone himself : http://www.hostindex.com/web/interviews/FathiSaid_CEO_IXWebHosting_Interview.shtm Robert
I'm looking in europe and NY and need someone within a month if anyone has references. I was looking for the last few weeks at WHT and just saw a thread about these guys that was hard to believe. Anyone else you can recommend?
Yeah, I've seen that thread as well. After I posted here. It's a shame really. Quite liked the remark about underbelly. Try FastNext in St. Hellier, Isle of Jersey, UK. You used to get burgers, fries and coke with your hosting. They also have a forum h[ttp://forums.fastnext.com/ They also have servers in Clifton, New Jersey ( very near to NYC). Maybe 3-4 years in business. British company! Rather old interview here with one of their staff : h[ttp://www.hostsearch.com/interview/fastnext_interview_february_2007.asp Can't say much else about them. I've been with them for one year but that was at the start. Never had problems with them. Things might have changed now. So I'm not recommending. At least is was never out (in the open) that they were hacked. If you find a website that's busy and phucking fast 24/7, you can check who is hosting it here : h[ttp://www.whoishostingthis.com/ WARNING!!! : Occasional popup to signup for their newsletter. Just click close. BTW, hostsearch.com is a good place to start your quest for a good host. But as always be careful. Ask someone to keep you covered when you're going in. It might also help when you type this (including quotes) into the Google box (quick and dirty you'll have to refine it) : "new york"|NYC|NY|NJ intitle:hosting inurl:"about" OR inurl:"contact" OR inurl:"contactus" OR inurl:"support" filetype:html OR filetype:php Code (markup): To refine it, go to http://www.googleguide.com/ (AWESOME website! Should have had PR10, instead of PR7. How more relevant can a website be ?) Robert
That's Detroit Michigan. And it's in your sig "Affordable webhosting". @brightknight: Look in this thread : http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=11298856 Dutch unmanaged offshore VPS, monthly or quarterly billing, from $15. They also do shared hosting : http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1318285 Robert
From past experience I could name 7host.com which is italian host offering windows web hosting and dedicated servers for reasonable price and well-served by the professional stuff. One of the best windows hosting providers I have dealt with.
Who is the cheapest annual hosting company? I want 200mb of space and 50gb bandwidth minimum! thanks in advance!

I've had some experience with Tsohost (see the link @ my signature). Admittedly, I have only one site there and it has low traffic, so I can't comment on their ability to handle lot of traffic. But their customer service seems responsive and their prices are pretty cheap. Especially their ASP.Net capable Windows hosting is very cheap in comparison to the prices that I've seen elsewhere.
