The best free download manager software? (or download accelerator..)

    Hi everyone,

What is the best free download manager or accelerator software?

I know about Internet Download Manager (IDMAN) but it is not free,
once the trial version finishes you need to pay for it (and I can't pay
for it cause I can't send money from where I live.. grr lol)

    Any good idea? :)

    Thank you!
    SSG.

I haven't used these programs since moving to broadband more than 2 years ago.

I find that firefox can manage my dowloads pretty well.

Back in the days I use to use GetRight

Not sure what has changed since I last used it but have a look here http://www.getright.com/

    BTW: Its not free.

    Yoh,

Hello freespace, thank's for your reply.

Infact I have an ADSL 512 kb speed connexion, and it's ok
    Download transfer speed: 26 ko/s

Using Internet Download Manager: 50 ko/s on average.

That's cool, it's just that sometimes I don't want to wait
too much for a file to download, and IDMAN helps a lot.

I think I'll just keep the trial version for now, quite useful.

If I find a better free downloading software I'll post an
    update here.

    See you :)
    SSG.

    Hi!

So, nothing? Not even a historical info about a downloading software
that saved you hours and hours in the past?

    I'm curious about that.

    See you,
    SSG

Internet Download Manager is the best. Jdownloader is another great option.

Dear supersimpleguy, you are right that when IDM runs out of trial version it become unable to get it back unless you re-install your OS. This is another technique to get IDM back but its not so easy, i know that. Instead of it you can also download the crack version of IDM from any torrent site they are available there. If you really believe to get it.

For details check this out: - Descargar Programas Gratis

FlashGet is much better, even if lots of ads on its UI.
