The best forum software?

    Vote for the forum software that you like whether it is free or paid.

    In paid my vote goes to VB & in free myBB gets my vote.

    I liked IVB for its similarity to another forum I post on (www.Blizzpub.net) which uses a custom forum script, however it may have been surpassed by vBulletin or SMF.

    I like IPB because I have the most experience with it. vB looks good, but I just don't have the time to experiment with it at the moment.

    I converted a phpbb to vbulletin a couple of years back and, from a forum management perspective, vbulletin was miles ahead. I don't think the gap has closed since then.

    There really is no "best" - that's an opinion.

    But if we were to go by my opinion, and in terms of scalability and support - I'd say vBulletin. It simply can't be beat due to the massive community of modders.

    I think the best paid forum is vb and free one is phpBB. I have used both of them and I like vb much more than phpBB.
