Anyone tried IndexU from nicecoder.com? I found this directory script has many great features, including integrated google pagerank.
It also has some cool layouts and SEO friendly urls

Well thats the first new thread this week about 'what is the best directory script' - i wonder how many there will be by the end of the week... i reacon about 4... people should learn to use the search tool.

Regarding the thread though phpLD wins hands down!

phpld is still top at the moment (the paid version anyway), however openLD seems to be getting popular and has some new features compared to phpld.

The best is probably relative to your need, point of view, experience, etc.
Perhaps, also where you ask this question might produce different result :)

    Anyway,
    - OpenLD, great with it's "extension" capability (http://www.openld.com/article/2/features).
    - PHPLynx, new script with a lot of features, good support (http://www.phplynx.com/features.html).
    - PHPLD, the most popular and widely used (http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/articlescript/features.php).
    - Esyndicat, has "Link Fields Customization" ability (http://www.esyndicat.com/product/comparison.html).
    - Anon 5.0, still mystery, probably the one that can surpass phpld :)

PHPLD surely cause it has more developers to it.
IndexU seems very nice too , its a pity in their free version one just can have 100 links there.

Lol this is a weekly thread. My vote is Joomla. I've seen some awsome sites run on it. The rest are very time consuming which I believe is part of the reason running a directory is considered so "time consuming".
