    How pampered have we become... the gigantic web application is "garbage" because the CMS is not pretty or it doesn't have as many options? Hell, I directly modify the DB tables for lots of my db-driven sites, hehe. I don't think the directory script creators are getting the credit they deserve for making the actual gigantic script (which is quite cumbersome) rather than the CMS. It's a Beatch to make a PHP db recursive table walker for unlimited category structures that these directories entail: My hats off to the directory programmers for their clean behind-the-scenes work! :)

    Without any doubt phpLD is best script IMO. David always try to give us its upgrade version at short intervals. And another good thing is that when we need any type of help regarding phpLD script an0n is always there for our help :D

    PHPLD gets my vote! Its easy and convenient to setup. Creating template is also very easy. And the biggest plus for PHPLD is the overall support from different people. :D

    We have to lighten up and accept what is given to us, as much as threads get repeated its not only threads like this, it happens in all areas. I also believe some new finds can be made when new threads are made even if they are on a simular track.

    On a postive side your response has brought to the attention of the posters here the submission tool you have planned, you might have found new customers. It certainly sent me there, and although I never submitted mine I did bookmark it. :)

    Yes that is correct that this similar thread may have been there before, but new script comes out regularlly. Therefore reating similar thread is not a bad idea all time.

    PHPLD by far is the best i will say. Its a free download and there are many templates to be downloaded free for it too. Its a great script

    I am currently trying eSyndicat free to eventually purchase the paid one. I love it, looks so stable and bugs free, I am really tired of buggy scripts. I wanted to test phplynx but then I changed my mind after figuring out that it is encrypted. of course I am using phpld and I am seriously looking for an alternative (too buggy and I can't get the reciprocal validation to work).

    Yes, also think phpLD is the better option available. I searched and used quite a bit of scripts but phpLD works best for me.

    Of phpLynx? sure, it can be found HERE the admin was disabled as someone kept deleting the databases, guess they found it funny :confused: I've just today felt well enough to set back up my own directory cantufind.com using an enhanced version of the script, you can see it here, hope you find it ok. :)
