The bolded part is the funniest thing I have ever heard about RO from a non-Romanian :D Our country was tens of years under communism... the country was ruined by them, especially Ceausescu. We all are very happy not to be in communism anymore, and we now have the freedom of speech. We are doing our best to join the European Union, and to have a good relation with the most powerful nation (USA) and you are telling me we do communist propgaganda ? :D lolololol :D

We usualy see USA and Americans with simpathy... but this happening showed us we are too kind with USA, and we accept stupid agreements with USA (I am talking about the agreement of not judging US citizens that do illegal stuff in our country).

Enough with the off-topic, from my side. Good luck whereever you choose to live.

I misread the title, I thought it said:

"The best country for America to relocate to"

    Cracked me up!

No need to move anywhere. The next great oil nation is Canada.

Read the article -- check the source. It's a publication of the Chinese Communist Party.

Oh, sorry, i now understood what you ment... it's just when I searched for articles about Teo Peter's death, most of the result pages (on Google) were articles in Romanian... and the link that I put in my first message was the first english article that I found :) But there are others non-chinese ;) This for example. And the point is the same... if a romanian would have caused that accident, he would have went to prison; but if an american caused it.... he lives happy now :(

So, the taxi driver who caused the accident by speeding, he's in prison now? :p

Also, just for your reference, if a Romanian diplomat in the United States committed a crime -- either accidentally or purposefully -- he would be immune from prosecution. It's a global standard called "diplomatic immunity."

This case is being mis-represented by people who want to damage the good relationship between Romania and the United States.

Western Australia is making some serious money at the moment. The economy over the year has been growing at 10% per year over the last 5 years.

Minimum wage is $500 a week and the average wage is $1000 per week.

Most people I know who have visited India have come back complaining about the smell.

Come to think of it, that's also a problem with Amsterdam.

I also hear the same thing about Venice.

    Hmmm...

Dun think Will's been to India. He's talking about other people. :) I think they might have visited some slum areas. Cleanliness isn't something you'd expect to find in the open in India.

Interesting thread.... Has communication networks been considered?

You wouldnt want to move to a country with ADSL @ 256KB as a webdesigner... or 1MB @ 100 USD per month... Also a good banking system to get payments from abroad...

Would be curious to know what country the majority would choose.
