    Hi there guys, Im looking to start up my own php proxy, I was wondering what's the best, cheapest and most reliable proxy host that you know? My proxy will be receiving anywhere from 2000 to 10,000 page loads per day so please make sure that they hosting you suggest can deal with that. Thanks for the help HydroJohn :)

    Whatever you do. Do not go with IwhiC.com. I just canceled my account an hour ago due to extremely rude support staff.

    I ran proxies for awhile but found them to not be very profitable. I liked the host I had though...Cloakhost. I'm not sure if they're even in business anymore (It's been quite a while) but do a search. Rates were reasonable and service was solid.

    For that amount of hit/day,i do suggest you use at least VPS coz shared host cannot handle it.
    Try to give wdserver a try coz i have hosted my proxy network with them for 3 month and never have any problem

    WDservers.com is hands down the best proxy host that I have found. I have been with many hosts, but found all to be lacking in one way or another except WDesrvers. I see as much as 13,000 UV per day with over 200,000 Page impressions per day. They are solid servers. Also they can be found by thewird here on DP.

    I can't give you a stock answer, it depends on what traffic you have or expect. The first hosting package I got was a dedicated as I planned to get to a set level of traffic, and I didn't want to upgrade from a VPS later on. I would go with at least the $59 plan to start with. If you are spending $100+, I recommend going with a dedicated server. I hunted my host down on WHT, due to the competitive nature you can get a great deal if you just ask for better quotes and do your research

    How much could this plane handle? I.e: How many people online at once? Visitors Per month?

    VPS Plan 256
    * 256MB RAM
    * 25GB Hard Drive
    * 10 Mbps = 3000GB Bandwidth
    * $29 /month
