Hello to everyone! A few months ago, I graduated from the university. My specialization was internet marketing, and I decided to develop my knowledge and skills at this sphere. So, I faced the problem of choice: To buy some books that will help me to learn more about SEO optimization or to find good courses, which could help me to achieve success and help me to become a professional at this domain. The second way was too expansive, so I chose the first. And now I want you to help me with your advice. Which books about SEO optimization are the best for those, who want to learn SEO by themselves?
Guides usually (Books) are alright, however absolutely nothing is better than for getting your hands grubby.Next once you start implementing a web site a person quickly understand there is no one sizing fits all and also all sites have his or her peculiarities, desires and also rules. That is when locations similar to Moz will certainly definitely aid that you can exploration, process judgment, understand appropriate techniques and also use it all in to process.
This is so true. You cannot read books endlessly, because you won't accomplish anything by passively gathering knowledge. Most of the times you will learn a lot more when you try and even fail, but then grasp how it really works in your specific situation and case and make it right. I suggest Moz too, as it is really convenient for beginners. I also suggest webinars on Alison and Coursera. Posing questions and asking for help just like you're doing it now, on forums, may be the best way of all. Depending on the quality of the forum, you'll have experienced and knowledgeable people interested and motivated to help you. They just lay out their experience in front of you and there's no price to it. Good luck!
Everything you need to learn can be found for free on Google. I've spent thousands of hours online over the years learning SEO/Marketing. The thing with SEO and books is, a book a couple years old is out of date because SEO evolves quickly(Google animal updates). So info/tips in a book today could no longer be useful say in 2016.
just google it or go on youtube and learn it for free. Seo techniques change so quickly you could end up with a shelf full of useless books that are now out of date. Join some seo tips blogs and get some newsletters to stay up to date
If you're going to post, please be unique and use your own thoughts instead of re-writing basically what I said. There's enough noobs on here repeating the same content of previously posted responses. You don't learn anything by doing this.
No need to be quite so aggressive, yes we both suggested using google as anyone would, but you didn't suggest using seo blogs or newsletters. So while our posts may have been similar ( Broad topic ) actually were completely different. Chill
Actually there was nothing aggressive about my response, just stating a fact. I also used "please" haha I've been chill the whole time.
I myself was looking for a good seo source for too long. That's the best that i have found yet www.quicksprout.com And use seo-forums of course.
Don't rely on books for something like SEO. Everything changes so fast nowadays! A SEO strategy that could be mentioned in a book could not be working the next day!
'SEO 2016' by Adam Clarke. Don't forgot to try your hand on ON-PAGE and OFF-PAGE SEO techniques written in the book.
As i listed those are very good and provides updated knowledge on seo ..so keep watching it...if i find anymore i'll let you know Follow these blogs: Neil patel search engine land Mathcut videos
Hi! Here is my take on this. No book or course on SEO is worth spending time and money because by the time you will finish the book and start implementing that stuff, things would have been changed in the actual market. Instead follow blogs like moz, neilpatel and others.
Be careful with books on SEO. SEO changes daily while books keep the same information. It's better to check blogs, just Google the term you want to learn more about. Chances are, if the article is on the first page - they know what they are talking about
Even then, the guy's name is Matt Cutts with a space between his first and last names. Show some respect.
Sara sounds like you could take some of your own advise...Respect. Making fun of peoples grammar when their native language isn't English.
If the guy doesn't have good English, he shouldn't be giving advise. Plus, that is no excuse - you could easily Google his name and copy/paste it. If he is too lazy to do that, he doesn't need to be giving advise on the most labor intensive step of website ownership - SEO. In his original message, he pronounced 'Matt Cutts' as 'mathcut'. That's far more than just "bad grammar". To someone who known NOTHING about SEO, this OP could have wasted an hour searching for "mathcut videos" on Google. That's why non-experts shouldn't be offering expert advise. Period.
