It's no secret that Ezine Articles is like the KING of article directories. EZA is basically the Google of article directories, that's how powerful it is. Let's face it, most of your results will be from Ezine Articles even if you submit to hundreds of other sites. The majority of other article sites are more for link-building than anything. But apart from EZA, there are other top article directories that do the job almost as well. (the Yahoos and MSN's of article directories) So the question here is.. What's the best article directory after EZA? Personally I'd say it's between GoArticles and ArticleCity. Who would you give your vote to?
I think it also depends on your subject matter. If you are talking about large, general article sites, I'd say articlebase, though that is subjective. In some niches, there are sites that accept articles that may be a better choice than any of these.
Well, if you're asking which article directory will tend to allow you to have your articles show up on the first or second page of Google.....besides ezinearticles...in the niches I'm in both goarticles, articlealley, and searchwarp are performing nicely at the moment. Things are a little different in Yahoo. Just do a search in Google and Yahoo for your keywords and see which article directories have an article that shows on the first or second page. Then check how many backlinks are to that particular article. That's what you have to beat. It's pretty easy. Dan

I like ideamarketers.com. I get a LOT more clicks from my articles on their site than the other sites combined. I know other sites have a higher "ranking", but ideamarketers.com gives me a MUCH higher click-through rate.
I'd say goarticles.com. They have a ton of articles and I think they are the most user friendly of all article sites.
