I was wondering if someone could help me out here. I just recently started a website and I am wondering where the best place to put my ads at. I have read on google that the best are towards the top of the page.

Just wondering if a experienced webmaster that has tested ad placements could help a newbie out. I would greatly appreciate it.

i put text links at the top of the page and get a reasonably good ctr. but my site isn't optimised for adsense, and only gets 300 hits per day.

Try to blend the ads with your contents, it helps increase your CTR.

I blended the ads in a little bit better I think and I am still not making any money.

I am getting visitors, say around 100 per day you would think I would get at least 1 click,

I don't no whats going on.

Large Rectangle text unit blended to your site colors, and placed within your content. Wrap your content around the ad, but leave a bit of space around the ad. Also, I do very well with a horizontal link unit at the very top of the page.
