If what he says proves anything it is that when Muslims started to get astray from the teaching of their religion ~800, their enlightenment period ended (notice I say Muslims, because they were the majority > 90% of the Arabic population at such times).

Maybe it is time for us Americans to go back to God, true indeed.

    Peace,

This video shows that extremism, ignorance and close mindedness like we are starting to see these days cause cause any society to go backwards, whether its islamic extremists blowing themselves up or christian fundamentalist who still so ignorantly believe that the world was created 6000 years ago lol. Being religious doesnt mean you have to be mentally dumb. Both science and god do go together.

I can't agree with that statement. There are many contradictions, as we already know.

Science proves that being a homosexual is in the genes, while all religions give the death penalty for it and regards it as a choice.

The list can go on and on, Google is your best friend.

Wasn't that debunked when that one scientist first tried to put that out? Or is it another thing taught in school as fact now?

True science where facts, provable facts are established have yet to contradict the Bible. It is only where their is a religious fervor in science to say something is fact without proof has it differed. We have a few of these religious fanatics here that espouse their feelings and beliefs as scientific fact without proof. (Or the fact their proof is like this equation: a+bXc-(f/g)k=1 and now we found a=zXc/b+f so we have proof!)

You got to remember the scientist were wrong when they said the earth was flat and wrong about the coming ice age in the 80's.

Everybody is wrong once in a while. But scientists are often seeking to correct their wrongs.

But sadly some religions, instead of correcting their wrongs, defend them viciously.

Well, I think you will find there are a number of scientists who aren't admitting it now and are even using past wrong to support their "science." I wouldn't be surprised to find many of this group all were educated by the same professor.

That is something that most religions do, they change their teachings after a number of years after they find out they were wrong. They will rewrite parts of their book or have another book of newer revelations that somehow contradict prior revelations. Then they have different clans fighting about it since one believes the newer revelation and the other says that is from the great satan or such. Simply saying that God wouldn't need to correct himself, but revelations should be that of "oh duh, it was there the whole time"

science is a very competitive field. If someone finds flaws in any theories you ca bet they will come forward with it

I don't think you have any right to call anyone an extremist after such a laughable statement.

    O.K. if you say so.

Is this a scientific theory that I have no right to call anyone an extremist?

In case you don't know, this was a religious belief held by the Church and anyone who was against it was going against the Church.

That's why I didn't even bother to debunk his ridiculous claims. Anyone who thinks science was against the earth being a sphere is a lost cause.

The scientist of the day were making the claim and some of the churches accepted it as such. The Bible never changed to adapt to the flat earth theory.

Here is some more history listed on wikipedia:

Good point. The Dark Ages were a time when the Church ruled the science community. As far as the homosexuality thing, I'd like to see evidence against the theory that it is in the genes. I've seen plenty of evidence from the scientific community suggesting that it is a natural thing that some people are born with. For instance, there was one study that showed the chances of a male being homosexual started at about 3% for first-born males and increased by about 50% for each successive male (so 4.5% for second, 6.75% for third, etc). The study used a large sample size and the trend held even for children that were separated and not raised with their biological siblings, suggesting that homosexuality was not the result of upbringing but rather genetics (and possibly influenced by hormone levels in the uterus during development).

The fact that evolution has never been proven, It has never been seen since recordable science.

    We have seen 2 things:

    1. Variation/Natural Selection
    2. Mutations (Only mutations observed have shown a loss of data, no data has ever been added to dna due to mutation).

Also, such things as carbon dating, once again it is hard to fully confirm that this works because it is based off of what we believe the age of the soil around the fossils is. I am not saying carbon dating is false, but It is open to alot of debate over its accuracy.

It could be giving us accurate results, but we may be applying it over a longer period then needed.

I seem to recall a study that suggested homosexuality was a result of overpopulation, at least in monkeys who displayed bisexual behaviors at a greater degree when too many where confined in an environment. Just pointing out that the jury is still out on that one.
