are you asking how many times a keyword can be repeated or just how many different keywords?? C if u target 2 keywords in a page then just add those keywords in the meta tags n repeat with variations twice..thats more than enuf
i have heard that 10 is a good number and try to set them up so they work as key phreas some search engines ignor the comas
I personally don't use more than 5 keywords per page. But I keep an eye on the fact, that the keywords should match to that special page.
Anyway it depends on many factors but I would preferred in a General way 10. Could you specify a bit in detail about that Cheers
Well I aint no SEO expert or anything... far from it... BUT Would it not just make perfect sense to build a separate page for each keyword you want to rank for? Just have one keyword in the META tag and any variations then optimize your page for that specific keyword? That's what I do for long tail keywords and it works fine IMHO. Cheers Stewart
originally posted by indyguidedotinfo what do you think is a good number of keywords to place in meta tags in the header? 20? 10? Some search engines gives high ranking to pages that contain keywords that are positioned close to each other, a concept known as keyword proximity. The relationship of keywords to the other text on the page, known as keyword density, is also important. Pages with approximately 3-7 keywords per every 100 words have a better chance of receiving a high ranking.
