Opening on February 12 – The 28th Chelsea International Fine Art Competition is the perfect way to take a step into the New York art world, this annual juried competition is for you. It’s open to all visual artists worldwide who are 18 and older, and accepts all media other than video art, film, performance art, jewelry and crafts. Prizes are specifically designed to aid artists in promoting their work and increasing their exposure in the art world. They include: participation in an exhibition at a gallery in the heart of Chelsea, New York’s famous fine art district; online promotion on ARTmine; an artist profile to be published in the fine art magazine ARTisSpectrum; cash prizes. There is a $35 entry fee for up to 5 images; $5 for each additional image. The juror of the 2013 competition is well-known writer, reporter and art critic Anthony Haden-Guest .
