I'd vote ME as the worse by far. As a computer tech it was a frustrating and profitable OS for me at the time.

agreed with everybody about ME being the worse

95 rocked, 98 rocked even more, XP ftw, and vista, lemme buy a new computer that can handle it and ill reply then, but the first impression is that there too many shit buttons

about the 10 worst OS, i havent a clue!

windows to me is 1 operating system, whether it be 95, 98 or 2020

its windows. you get erros and bugs on one hand, improvements on the other

side note: how cool cool would it be to hear "okay, we fixed the last release and here it is fixed", not "forget about service pack 3, heres a new fucher for you to update"

Something of note: all of those "operating systems" mentioned are just mostly just different window managers. All of them are the same Microsoft Windows operating system. iow, the wrapper is different but the content is the same.

Windows ME is by far the worst OS. And a little note to Vista haters, if you didnt know Vista Ultimate 64bit is one of the best OS ever.

I remember using MS DOS 3.3 and everything being ok. But the big overpowering selling point of 4.0 was its disk compression utility that promised to increase my 20MB hard disk space. Buying hard drives was rather expensive in those days and 4.0 seemed like the answer to a prayer. But the system was a nightmare and rendered my computer useless. I will say that MS released version 4.1 rather quickly and I was up and running again.

I like Vista. I run a Vista Business 64bit and I don't have any problems with it. I like the fact that it utilizes my entire 4GB of ram, although, Windows XP 64bit will do the same. I just got tired of Windows XP and decided to go with Vista. I think it looks way nicer and it have some bells and whistles that Windows Xp doesn't have.

Over all, if you have a kick ass powerful machine, then yes, go with Vista 64bit. If not, then stay with Windows Xp cause you will hate it if you have a weak computer.

Very misleading title... and why is ms-dos under your guys "worst"? DOS was a very powerful OS and is still on almost all windows machines today!

for the dinosaurs that are saying xp is better than vista go to newegg.com and buy yourself some better hardware. I am running vista x64 with new hardware made for vista and it's beautiful.

However, I think windows ME and xp x64 have to be the worst for me. since I am a gamer I vote mac as being the worst of all time but thats just strictly for gaming.

hmm I really like Windows vista, not really. I've never used it thorouly but from what I've heard it's really bad. I'm currently using Windows 7, Xp and Mac OSX and I really prefer the mac over both windows machines.
