Bit of a strange article... it's almost writing it 'for' webmasters, but from the tone in that piece, its like 'OMG What are you doing? Putting the ad where people will see it? Instead of reading content? How could you!?'. One of the pages actually pretty much said that it'd be better to have users clicking through a site, than clicking on an ad!
Aye, they don't start screaming when they read through a magazine and see a few ad listings or perhaps when they see some commercials pop on the TV. If they don't like it they can toddle off elsewhere. Also, if they try to use ad blockers, which is common these days, then they should be blocked from even accessing your site.

indeed people hate this ads..but if your content is usefull and informative they will still visit your website..
